The Hot Ride

It didn't matter if you were on the road or the dirt today - you couldn't escape the heat.

The sun wasn't even up when the dirt kittens rolled out and within 10 minutes we were in a lather of sweat.  We kind of figured it wasn't going to get any better from there on in.....

I believe it was much the same scenario for the Block riders.  About a dozen turned up for the first Block ride but there was only one lonely Bunter who turned left at Yarwun.  Big Fish was literally a fish out of dirt on the Block, sustaining three flats and eventually "phoning a friend" for a rescue pick up.

When the roadies rolled into the coffee shop, everyone looked a bit worse for wear - beetroot faces were certainly the flavour of the day.  Professor Zulu spent the coffee shop time analysing the data from his new Garmin toy..... look out Strava terrorists, once the Professor has his gadget figured out, we'll all be moving down the Strava ladder.
